Cambodia democracy development is slipping into the slope by the recent political moves

As a Khmer Young, I can weight this news and conclude that Phay Siphan's justification is baseless.
1. How criticism of Hang Chakra, Dam Sith, Mu Sochua, and Ho Van can make instability in Cambodia? All arm forces are under total control of the government. The amnesty international and the human rights personnel are right to see the backwardness of democracy development in Cambodia. Silencing the dissents is one of the best favorite tools for all dictators in this world.

Congratulation Robert Carmichael for your journalist professionalism. There are variety of ideas and intents from different interviewing. At least, three interviewees were allowed to give their inputs. The listeners just listen and weight this news by their own.

This is very different from CTN news reporters such as Chhum Kosal who has non-stop interviewing only one person and he concluded his news instead of the audience.

2. Cambodian constitution is really supportive to the freedom of expression and speech. Also, constitution affirms the independence of mass media and judiciary. Phay Siphan should read the national constitution again on what chapter that the Cambodian people should be jailed because of their love and activities to help develop the nation?

PM Son Chhay is right with his experiences in Cambodia. While government is facing with other unsolved issues, they will make storms to oppositions and all critics to divert the attention of Cambodian people.

The recent move of Hun Sen to injail the journalists, to lift the opposition MPs immunity or other fearful activities might be his traditional strategies to handle with his internal opponents as well as to silence Cambodian people from the protest of unemployment, poverty, injustice and violence etc.

Cambodian people in the whole nation are being poisoned by the mass media, the biased and one-sided media. But there are many Cambodian people who are seeing the recent move of Hun Sen administration is intimidating to their individual safety, freedom and happiness.

Let see the move of Hun Sen and his colleagues under his vanguard...what will be happened?
